Support
Nisatsu is made by NISATSU LLC. If something is broken, confusing, or not working the way you expected, write to us and a person will read it.
Get in touch
Email contact@nisatsu.com. That address reaches us for everything: bugs, billing, account questions, feedback, and press.
We aim to reply within two business days. We are a small team, so if your message needs digging, the first reply may be an acknowledgement rather than an answer.
What to include
Any of these that apply will get you a faster answer:
- The email address on your Nisatsu account, if you have one.
- Which device and app you were using (iPhone, Android, or the website).
- What you were doing, what you expected, and what happened instead.
- A screenshot, if the problem is something you can see.
Please do not send us your password. We will never ask for it.
Billing and subscriptions
Nisatsu Pro is billed through whichever store you subscribed on. Subscriptions bought on iPhone or Android are managed in your Apple or Google account settings, and subscriptions bought on the web are managed from your account page. If you are not sure which one you are on, ask us and we will look it up.
Your account and your data
You can export or delete your account from within the app. If you would rather we handled it, or you cannot get into your account, email contact@nisatsu.com and we will take care of it. Our Privacy Policy explains what we hold and the rights you have over it.
Deleting your account
In the app or on the web, open Account → Settings → Privacy & data → Delete your account. Or email contact@nisatsu.com from the address on the account. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription; cancel that in your store account.
Your account is deactivated straight away. After a 7-day recovery window, during which signing back in restores it, we permanently delete your profile, settings, vocabulary, stories, reading and study history, and friendships.
A few records are kept after that, without your name, email or phone number: subscription records for billing and tax (up to 180 days after the purchase's chargeback window closes), compliance audit records (six years, holding only one-way hashes), the record of your age confirmation and consent choices, and reports about content. The last two are kept with the link to your account removed. Backups age out within 30 days. The Privacy Policy lists every record we keep and why.
Reporting content or a user
Stories and profiles that other people share can be reported from inside the app, which is the fastest route because it tells us exactly what you are looking at. If you cannot reach the app, email us with a link or a description and we will act on it.
